Section name | New Vehicle Study Subcommittee |
Theme | Study of introducing new transportation modes to expand transportation options within the region |
Chairman | Professor Hiroshi Fujimoto, The University of Tokyo |
Principal activities up to fiscal 2024
- 1. Wireless power supply system
-
- Japan’s first demonstration experiment of in-transit power supply on a public road is ongoing at the Dongji-road leading to the roundabout at the west exit of Kashiwanoha Campus Station.
- In terms of research, we analyzed data obtained from the demonstration tests, conducted a questionnaire survey of local residents, and studied control technology that combines vehicle motion control and in-transit power supply.
- 2. study of a mobility system set in Kashiwanoha Campus Town
- (1) Continuing from last fiscal year, the environment was improved for the University of Tokyo two-seater vehicle so that it can run again in Tateyama City. As planned in last year’s report, the vehicle was transferred from the CIPP’s ownership to the NPO “Gonjiro” in Tateyama City, which serves as the local activity base for the Akiko Okabe Laboratory of the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences of the University of Tokyo, and vehicle inspections were conducted using a license plate in the local name. Since it took time to obtain replacement parts for the vehicle inspection and maintenance, and the vehicle was not inspected until the end of December last year, the status and results of the use of the system in Tateyama City have not yet been fully implemented, but we plan to use the system locally and collect useful data.
