Main activities in FY2025<\/h2>\n

\u25cfIn the field experiment on road-space improvements adopted by the Road Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) in February 2025 for Kashiwa City, a new experimental bus stop facility was developed within the University of Tokyo Kashiwa Campus, and a demonstration experiment of automated driving bus operations at the bus stop was conducted in December.<\/dd>\n
\u25cfIn response to this demonstration experiment, this subcommittee promoted the examination of discussion points based on the awareness of issues and opinions of urban development stakeholders, including transportation operators, while assuming future improvements to bus departure and arrival facilities within Kashiwa City.<\/dd>\n
\u25cfTherefore, this subcommittee held two meetings to exchange opinions with stakeholders toward the appropriate implementation of the automated driving bus departure and arrival demonstration experiment (September 2), and to exchange opinions upon compiling the temporary demonstration experiment results (February 24).<\/dd>\n<\/dl>\n

Draft activity plan for FY2026<\/h2>\n

\u25cfContinuing from the previous fiscal year, this will serve as a forum to discuss the possibility of solving various issues related to Kashiwa City’s urban development and public transportation by utilizing ITS technology.<\/dd>\n
\u25cfBased on the results of the automated driving bus departure and arrival demonstration experiment conducted in FY2025, we will promote the examination of discussion points based on the awareness of issues and opinions of urban development stakeholders, including transportation operators, while assuming future improvements to bus departure and arrival facilities within Kashiwa City.<\/dd>\n
\u25cfIn addition, examinations will be conducted as necessary according to the issues and needs related to urban development and public transportation within Kashiwa City.<\/dd>\n
